Attackers began to apply new schemes in Russia, exploiting the current desire of citizens to purchase scarce goods against the backdrop of sanctions by Western countries against the Russian Federation due to its military operation in Ukraine.

Criminals, unscrupulous entrepreneurs and foreign intelligence services have already begun manipulation on the fear of Russians to be left without the necessary drugs, the Izvestia newspaper notes.

Citizens are assured that a shortage of medicines is expected, and they are offered to place an order “in order to guarantee the possibility of obtaining them for the next 90 days.”

In addition, cybersecurity experts from Infosecurity warned of the appearance of several sites, the creators of which offer for 130 thousand rubles. issue a Visa or MasterCard plastic card to the client, which allegedly work abroad. According to the attackers, they can be used to withdraw funds in rubles from Russia to a current account, receive payment for the work of foreign partners, exchange rubles for dollars without commission.
