The body of a person was found on the morning of this Saturday, March 19, in a weedy area adjacent to Paseo del Parque avenue, at the height of the road link that leads to the Narcisa de Jesús highway, north of Guayaquil.
People who circulated in the area alerted ECU911 about the presence of the man’s body, who was between 30 and 35 years old.

Given this, police officers went to that area and restricted the vehicular and pedestrian passage of those who were moving from the Samanes park in the direction of the Narcisa de Jesús highway.
A police group redirected traffic for several minutes to make a U-turn and return to Francisco de Orellana avenue.
After the expertise at the crime scene, agents determined that the man’s body had a wound caused by a blunt object, said Colonel Henry Herrera, head of the Directorate of Violent Deaths (Dinased) Zone 8 (Guayaquil, Durán and Samborondón ).
The individual was wearing sportswear and a jacket and also had a cover on his head that would have been placed to cover the fatal wound.
Before 09:45, the body was picked up and taken to the morgue of the Judicial Police. At that site it is expected to take fingerprints in order to establish the identity of the victim.

Herrera indicated that no traces of the object used were found at the site and that it would be a secondary scene, so it is presumed that only the body was left at the site and the attack took place elsewhere.
