The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inamhi) issued a weather bulletin on rain and thunderstorms valid until March 22.
The entity specified that in the coming days the rains will intensify in different sectors of the country, which could also be accompanied by electrical storms. It is possible that the most intense events will occur in the Litoral and Amazon region between March 18 and 20.

In the Coastal region, the rains will be generalized, presenting the most intense episodes in the interior zone. In the Inter-Andean alley, rainfall of variable intensity throughout the region with occasional episodes of strong intensity.
In the Amazon region, the rains will develop throughout the entire region and tend to be frequent during this period. In the Insular region, scattered rainfall with possible occasional episodes of moderate intensity.
From last Friday night to Saturday morning, there was a high probability of the occurrence of intense rains and some electrical storms in different sectors of the Coast, especially in the interior zone. In the case of the Amazon region and north and south of the Inter-Andean alley, there would be rains of variable intensity.
Interagua asked the citizens of Guayaquil not to throw garbage in the ditches and to keep the block fronts and sewage grids clear.
