The AMT of Quito will not charge the scheduling surcharge to vehicles with plates ending in 9

The entity took advantage of the ANT’s exhortation to exempt fines for not carrying out or completing the registration process in October.

The owners of vehicles whose license plates end in the digit 9, who had to comply with the mandatory enrollment process in October, will not have to pay the $ 25 scheduling surcharge.

The Metropolitan Transit Agency (AMT) of Quito informed that it will not charge this value, since it accepted resolution No. 076-DE-ANT-2021, issued by the National Transit Agency (ANT), which urges the Decentralized Autonomous Government (GAD) to exonerate the fines generated for not carrying out or completing the enrollment process, within the annual calendar.

In the face of a computer attack, the ANT suggests the exemption of fines for the registration of vehicles whose plates end in 9

Citizens can continue with their procedures on a regular basis, through the website http://www.amt.gob.ec.

The ANT’s exhortation to the GAD is due to the computer attack on the Axis system, suffered on October 21, which disabled several services. (I)
