In St. Petersburg, builders have begun erecting walls, columns and ceilings of the building of the storage building of the new Multifunctional Center for the Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography. This was reported in the press service of the public law company “Single customer in the field of construction”, which controls the construction of the facility.
“It is planned to complete the construction of the multifunctional center of the Kunstkamera, which started in September 2021, in August 2024. Two buildings will be located on its territory: an administrative building and a storage building,” the press service of the Single Customer said.
Most of the storage building will be occupied by premises for the placement of valuable scientific and historical exhibits from the collections of the Kunstkamera. The administrative building will house exhibition spaces with a museum shop, library reading rooms and archives.
On the territory of the new Multifunctional Center for the Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography, the partial dismantling of the existing structures of the administrative building is being completed, followed by repair and restoration work. Also, work is currently underway on the installation of reinforced concrete structures of the above-ground part of the storage building. Construction work is progressing ahead of schedule.
Recall that earlier in his Telegram channel, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin spoke about the approval of the second package of anti-crisis measures for the construction industry. “The set of anti-crisis measures we have developed will support the construction industry in a period of new challenges,” Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said. According to him, the measures are aimed at accelerating construction and creating conditions for launching new projects in the industry, as well as supporting citizens and developers in the current difficult economic conditions.
