Personnel from the public company Aguapen arrived at the scene to evacuate the water.

Fanny Rodríguez, one of the victims, received the support of the neighbors to clean the mud and lift the artifacts and other goods that were damaged.

Residents commented that the problem occurred because with the construction of sidewalks, the flow of water did not continue its course and stagnated inside the houses, reaching a level of approximately 1.50 meters.

The rain also wreaked havoc in a motorcycle store located on Avenida 9 de Octubre in the canton of La Libertad. Likewise, the Dr. Rafael Serrano hospital was filled with water and mud.
