According to the interlocutor of the agency, these companies are the link between the owner and the property. “These arrested assets complement the results of the previous operation, in which real estate worth 17 million was arrested,” the source said.

Earlier today, the Italian authorities seized the property share of businessman Petr Aven in Sardinia, and before that, the financial guard seized a yacht belonging to the assets of Andrey Melnichenko, the former main beneficiary of the international fertilizer producer Eurochem and coal energy company SUEK.

In addition, the Italian security forces seized the assets of Russians who fell under EU sanctions in connection with the escalation in Ukraine.
