The search for Mishel, only 12 years old, continued on the morning of this Wednesday, March 16, in Loja. Members of various rescue institutions participated and there was the help of more heavy machinery, while her mother, Miriam de Ella, watched in the hope of finding her.
The minor was with her grandmother doing housework outside her house when the floodwaters of the Chinguilanchi creek swept away everything it could, and dragged the girl.

Mayor Patricia Picoita informed that the cleaning of all the sectors that have been affected by the floods will continue.
A command post was installed in the place by the Risk Management Secretariat, to coordinate the actions that allow all the protagonists to act in the evacuation of water, mud and debris, to find the whereabouts of the missing minor.
