The United States imposed sanctions against the wife of the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, Tatyana Navka, as well as against his adult children. This, according to RBC, was announced to journalists by State Department spokesman Ned Price.
“We are also imposing sanctions on 12 State Duma deputies who led efforts to recognize the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics, as well as Dmitry Peskov’s wife and adult children,” Price said.
Navka commented on this fact with the words: “How can I relate to this? Life will show who will influence what and how. Life goes on. It seems to me that the Lord God will judge everyone and put everything in its place.”
Elizaveta Peskova has not yet commented on what happened.
Recall that earlier the EU sanctions list included such persons as the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko, head of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation Irek Faizullin, First Deputy Commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation Sergey Pinchuk, two deputy commanders of the Southern Military District Alexei Avdeev and Rustam Muradov, head of the United Russia General Council Andrey Turchak, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Black Sea Fleet Sergey Pinchuk, commander of the 8th Combined Arms District of the Southern Military District Andrey Sychevoi. The head of Rosneft, Igor Sechin, businessmen Pyotr Aven, Mikhail Fridman, the head of Transneft, Nikolay Tokarev, and Mikhail Fradkov were also subject to restrictions.
Canada also imposed sanctions due to the events in Ukraine against Dmitry Peskov, Vladimir Solovyov, Margarita Simonyan, Knstantin Ernst and Oleg Deripaska, RIA Novosti reports.
