Russians planning to find a job in Kazakhstan will not need a work permit, it will be enough for them to have an employment contract in their hands. This is reported by the ORDA website.

At the same time, the publication clarifies, immigrants from countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will not be able to work without permission. According to amendments to the legislation of Kazakhstan introduced on March 4, immigrants who come to the country for a while will have to obtain a work permit from the akimat or internal affairs bodies. The new rules will come into effect on March 21.

Meanwhile, citizens of the EAEU countries, which includes Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Belarus, can still work on the basis of an employment contract.

Russians have the right to stay in Kazakhstan up to 90 calendar days from the date of entry. If you plan to stay for a longer period, you need to obtain a temporary residence permit from the migration service.

On March 10, Akmadi Sarbasov, First Vice Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Kazakhstan, said that Russians coming to the republic would not be restricted in employment. According to the Eurasian Economic Commission, about 20 thousand citizens of the Russian Federation currently work in this state.

Earlier it became known that Russia is lifting restrictions on flights to a number of countries, including Kazakhstan, imposed due to the coronavirus. “On March 9, 2022, in accordance with the decision of the government of the Russian Federation, restrictions on irregular and regular flights to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Iran, previously introduced as part of preventing the spread of COVID-19, have been lifted,” the report says. .
