The State Duma adopted an appeal to the UN and the OSCE PA on the need to investigate the activities of biological laboratories in Ukraine, a Rosbalt correspondent reports.
The deputies express extreme concern in connection with the activities of biological laboratories in Ukraine, aimed “to test the effect on humans of pathogens of such deadly diseases as plague, anthrax, cholera,” the appeal says.
At the same time, according to them, the acts of destruction of dangerous biopathogens in recent days testify to the attempts of the Ukrainian authorities “to hide the traces of the illegal and inhumane activities of these laboratories, which were formally under the jurisdiction of the central sanitary and epidemiological department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.”
“There is reason to believe that the United States has been using Ukraine and its military personnel for a number of years to conduct extremely dangerous, inhumane experiments in the field of biological weapons. The facts testify that the United States, in its dangerous designs that threaten the life and health of mankind, treats Ukraine and its population as experimental objects,” the appeal says.
At the same time, the deputies plan to create a parliamentary commission to conduct their own investigation into the work of biolaboratories in Ukraine. At the suggestion of State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, deputies can summon US Secretary of State Victoria Nuland to Moscow “for questioning and testifying.”
“Look into Nuland’s eyes and let her stock up on cookies, they may soon come in handy for herself,” Volodin remarked.
Earlier, the head of the press service of the US Foreign Ministry, Ned Price, said that the US authorities do not own and do not operate biological laboratories in Ukraine. According to him, “experts sometimes helped Ukraine with issues related to the safety of laboratories.” Price added that the activity was limited to this.
