There were 36 packages that Blek, a canine from the Police Antinarcotics Unit of Subzone 13 of Manabí, detected inside a double cab truck. The agents stopped the car this Friday on the Rocafuerte-Manta road.
According to the profile and information received by the National Police, two vehicles were detained: one served as a kind of advanced group to detect possible controls on the road and the other, a van, in a thorough review the police found 36 packages brick type, each weighing a kilo of marijuana.
Rodny Chávez, chief of Subzone 13 of the Manabí Police, said that the preliminary investigation indicated that alkaloid was being transported in a vehicle, presumably for the internal trafficking of substances in Manta, and that the origin of said seized shipment was Esmeraldas.

This operation allowed the capture of Katty Nahomi SA, 25 years old; Jean Paul TC, 20 years old; Ronald Adrián Ch. P., 29 years old, and Jehykol Jandry ZC, 21 years old, all Ecuadorians and without any criminal record.
“During the review, three brick-type packages were found inside the van-type vehicle, with packing tape, which contained a greenish vegetable substance,” said Chávez.
Subsequently, Blek carried out an inspection and gave a warning sign on the four doors of the vehicle and on the back of the rear seat, where 33 heated blocks were found.
Wilman Aceldo, head of Investigation of the Anti-Drug Unit of Subzone 13 of Manabí, pointed out that so far in 2022 in Manabí 1.3 tons of drugs have been seized and 108 people have been arrested for this crime. (I)
