Police arrested adolescents for alleged abuse of a girl in a school in Cuenca

An alleged abuse committed against a minor in a fiscal campus in Cuenca is being investigated in Cuenca. Those involved would be adolescents from that campus, who allegedly sexually abused a girl.

With a trembling voice, the mother commented that her 9-year-old daughter was abused by several of her classmates. According to her, they intimidated her in a pack, with a sharp weapon.

A relative went to the authorities this Thursday afternoon to expose the case that occurred in an educational center in the south of Cuenca.

According to the family, the abuse was repeated twice inside the educational unit. On Tuesday she was subdued by three and on Thursday by five males, of whom she identified one.

The family maintains that the school authorities told them that solving it is a “long process”, but on Thursday, noticing that the little girl was visibly affected, they offered her psychological help.

He raped his 13-year-old relative. Eleven months later, he is sentenced to 29 years in prison and the payment of $10,000 as reparation for the teenager.

After learning of the case, the Police proceeded to arrest the adolescents involved in this case.

Walter Villarroel, commander of the Azuay police subzone, confirmed the arrest of eight adolescents between the ages of 14 and 15, who are currently being investigated by a specialized unit.

The complaint is filed with the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office and they are awaiting a response.

Being minors, adolescents must face a different process than an adult.

The officer prefers to avoid some details of the event so as not to victimize the girl again and protect her rights.
