The main beneficiary of the Russian coal exporter SUEK, EuroChem, Andrei Melnichenko, Dmitry Pumpyansky (TMK, Sinara), Vadim Moshkovich (Rusagro), Dmitry Mazepin (Uralchem https://www.rosbalt. ru/Uralkali) and his son Nikita, as well as the head of Phosagro Andrey Guryev, the CEO of Aeroflot Mikhail Poluboyarinov, the head of SIBUR Dmitry Konov, the head of Rostelecom Mikhail Oseevsky, the head of VK Vladimir Kiriyenko.
Almost all of those sanctioned participated in a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and business representatives on February 24, when the Russian Federation launched an operation in Ukraine, the newspaper notes. According to media reports, this was the reason for recognizing them as persons belonging to the “inner circle” of the president, and imposing sanctions against them.
Also, 146 members of the Federation Council, who ratified agreements on friendship and cooperation and mutual assistance between Russia and the DPR and LPR, fell under the sanctions.
Earlier, the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said that EU countries were going to impose sanctions on 100 people from Russia in connection with the situation in Ukraine.
