Altogether they were 23 home appliance kits, made up of refrigerator, washing machine, kitchen and blender.

The Municipality of Quito coordinated with the families that lost a family member or that their homes were affected due to the flood of last January 31, which caused 28 dead and more than 50 injured.

Municipal entities coordinated the delivery of appliances. After registering on paper each series of products to be delivered, Municipal vans loaded and moved each of the houses.

Anthony Zapata, Director of Grants, Scholarships and Loans of the Secretariat of Social Inclusion of the Municipality of Quito, pointed out that they are close to completing the aid to 100% of those affected. He also pointed out that this donation is part of the agreement between the Governments of Ecuador and China.

On the complaint of some families who say they have not received help, he replied that they are verifying the information after the constant sweeps they made at ground zero to deliver technically.

Gladys Aconda, 56 years old, also received help. She in tears commented that now he will have to be father and mother for two of his five children who are still in their studies.
