The Police and the Prosecutor’s Office are now investigating what crime the criminals committed in the taxi driver’s car.
The driver Dimas O., who usually offers informal transportation service, was surprised by two men who were given a race in the Duran canton, last Wednesday night 27.
The victim said that at a gas station in the neighboring canton, the passengers threatened him with a firearm, beat him several times, tied him up and locked him in the trunk of the vehicle. It happened around 10:00 p.m.
The taxi driver was abandoned on the fourth stage of El Recreo. After arriving at his home, located in the same canton, the victim notified the Police.
Dimas O.’s car was located hours later in the Arbolito 1 sector, in the Ismael Pérez Castro cooperative (Durán). It was abandoned in that sector.
The Police and the Prosecutor’s Office are now investigating what crime the criminals committed in the taxi driver’s car. The recovered vehicle was admitted under chain of custody to the courtyards of the Judicial Police. (I)
