Dollar closes higher and stands at S / 3.9820 after sale of US $ 126 million in the BCRP

The price of dollar closed higher and was located at S/ 3,9820 in operations on Thursday, October 28, which represents an increase of 0.05% at the end of last Wednesday where it was quoted at S / 3.9800, according to the report of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP). In the morning, it had started at S / 3.9790.

During the day, the issuing entity went on the market to sell US $ 126 million at an average exchange rate of S / 3.9812 per dollar to mitigate the volatility of the currency. In addition, it placed exchange swaps for S / 500 million and interest rate swaps for S / 100 million.

On the other hand, the price in the parallel market (the street) is the purchase at S / 3.97 and the sale at S / 4.00. Likewise, in the interbank market the purchase is quoted at S / 3,985 and the sale at S / 4,009 from Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP).

This occurs after the Minister of Economy and Finance, Pedro Francke, presented the package of financial and tax reforms together with the Banco de la Nación, the SBS and the Sunat. Said initiative must be endorsed by the Congress of the Republic.
