In block 27 of the Siete Lagos sector, in the south of Guayaquil, around 00:30 this Sunday, the 6th, men who were traveling in a wine-colored car shot two people who were in the doorway of a house.
In this violent event, one of the most recent in the city, the two affected were transferred to a public hospital in the area.
Galenos indicated that Eduardo Sixto MC received a bullet wound in the arm and was stable in the health home. However, Víctor Cevallos died from the wounds caused by the bullet impacts.
At the scene of the attack, agents collected several pieces of evidence, such as eight shell casings from different weapons, a cartridge, two deformed bullets and a cell phone.
In Guayaquil, at least three other violent deaths were reported in recent hours, between the night of Saturday the 5th and the early morning of this Sunday the 6th.
In the suburb, on 28th and G streets, Ronald Patiño, 31, was killed after the detonation of projectiles by individuals who were traveling in a gray vehicle, around 03:30.

The victim was taken to the Guayaquil hospital, however, health personnel indicated that he no longer had vital signs. The deceased had no criminal record.
Meanwhile, Bryan Poveda, 24, died from at least seven bullet wounds on Cerro del Carmen, downtown. Around 05:00, approximately, residents reported that they heard several detonations and, when leaving their buildings, they found the body of the young man on the steps of the area.
According to an acquaintance, before the crime, the citizen, a resident of Santa Ana Hill, was drinking with friends and had gone out to buy liquor in the area where the violent act was reported.
Another violent death was also reported in Nueva Prosperina around 05:50.
Upon arrival of the police units, the victim’s body had been transferred to a health home, where his death was verified.
Several pieces of evidence were found at the crime scene, such as a knife and clothing.
Attack on a minor
In a fifth violent event, around 10:00 p.m. on Saturday 5, a minor was injured after a violent attack on 46th and Francisco Segura streets, in the southwest.
Men who arrived in the area shot a minor, who was affected, although he is stable, according to police personnel.
At the site, agents collected five shell casings from two weapons, two deformed bullets and a fragment of jacketing.
Zone 8, made up of Guayaquil, Durán and Samborondón, recorded at least 223 violent deaths as of last Friday morning. To this figure were added other cases reported from the afternoon of that same day until the afternoon of Saturday 5.
Among these events, the manager of a hotel, on 22nd and Portete streets, was killed when he opened the door to two people, a man and a woman, who had knocked previously. (I)
