Seven Ecuadorians arrive in Quito that Mexico helped evacuate from Bucharest

Seven Ecuadorians who arrived in Mexico on Friday evacuated on a humanitarian flight from that country that left from Bucares, arrived in Quito, the Foreign Ministry reported early this Sunday.

According to Foreign Minister Juan Carlos Holguín, their families arrived along with the Ecuadorians, since the Mexican flight also transported two Ukrainian women.

The seven Ecuadorians joined the 203 who arrived in the country on Saturday on the second humanitarian flight chartered by Ecuador and the 246 who had arrived on Friday on the first such flight chartered by Quito.

Six Colombians also arrived on the second humanitarian flight from Ecuador, in a gesture of solidarity with the neighboring country, the Foreign Ministry reported.

There are still around 300 Ecuadorians scattered throughout different Eastern European countries where they arrived in search of an emergency exit to leave Ukraine, as well as some Ecuadorians in Ukraine, including Diego Moncayo, who is trapped near the border with Russia. (I)
