Families of Russian servicemen and members of the National Guard who died during a special operation to protect Donbass or in Syria will receive additional one-time payments of 5 million rubles. The corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In addition, in the case of wounded soldiers in Ukraine and Syria, they will be paid 3 million rubles each.
At a meeting with the permanent members of the Security Council of the Russian Federation on March 3, Putin announced that the families of the victims would receive insurance coverage and lump-sum benefits provided for by the current law, in total 7 million 421 thousand rubles. In addition, according to the head of state, “monthly monetary compensation will be paid to each member of the family of the deceased.”
If a serviceman serving under a contract is declared unfit for military service due to a wound, he will receive a one-time allowance in the amount of 2 million 968 thousand rubles, and in case of disability – monthly monetary compensation.
