The Dutch brewing concern Heineken announced the suspension of beer exports to Russia. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

At the same time, the company clarified, the concern does not plan to close factories on the territory of the Russian Federation.

According to the agency, Heineken is the largest international brewing company operating in the Russian market since 2002.

Earlier it became known that the decision to stop new investments in Russia was taken by the Danish brewing company Carlsberg. It also blocks export deliveries of products from other Carlsberg divisions to Russian Baltika, of which it has been the largest shareholder since 2008.

Other producers of food and alcoholic beverages, in particular, the Finnish confectionery company Fazer, the manufacturer of Guinness beer and Smirnoff vodka, also announced the break in cooperation with Russia due to a special operation in Ukraine.

At the same time, as the Association of Beer Producers told RIA Novosti, the share of imported beer on the Russian market does not exceed 3%, and the largest Russian brewers continue to work as usual.
