Another local resident, Ekaterina, said that prescription drugs have not been in the city for several months. She noticed the deficit even before the New Year.
“There is no explanation for the shortage. We are waiting, that’s all. Children have it, adults don’t. They offer to replace it with a Russian drug, which is, but it does not suit almost anyone, there are side effects, and there is no sense, ”complained the St. Petersburg woman.
The Rosbalt correspondent tried to find one of the popular drugs produced in Denmark in pharmacies. On the website of two large networks of St. Petersburg it is indicated that the goods are not available. The same message was seen on Russia’s largest drug delivery service.
At the same time, it was not possible to get through to the hotline of pharmacy chains. In one of them, the operator offered to wait 39 minutes, and in the other, the queue number turned out to be 21.
The Health Committee told a Rosbalt correspondent that there was no shortage of insulin in the city.
“There are dozens of them. In the city there are always analogues from the category of interchangeable. The patient will not be left without medicine: he can ask the doctor to prescribe a drug of the trade name that is now available in pharmacies for beneficiaries, ”the press service said.
