A unique training center for innovative surgical technologies has been launched in Moscow. The training center was opened in the City Clinical Hospital No. 67.
According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the capital’s training center is the largest and most modern of such medical facilities in Europe. “All the best equipment, the best technologies, and, most importantly, the best specialists in Moscow will be concentrated here to train Moscow surgeons in neurosurgery and a number of other operations,” Sobyanin said.
In the training center, which, according to the press service of the capital’s mayor’s office, is located in a two-story building with an area of 1.5 thousand square meters. m, more than 700 practicing surgeons will be trained annually. There are also planned training courses in thoracic and maxillofacial surgery, traumatology and orthopedics, ENT.
During his visit to City Clinical Hospital No. 67, the mayor also spoke about the preparations for the opening of a new perinatal center on its basis – the most modern in Moscow. “Probably the most modern perinatal center in Russia, which will take about 13 thousand births, that is, almost every tenth Muscovite will be born here in this wonderful center,” Sobyanin said.
