Hollywood actors Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have started fundraising to support efforts to help the citizens of Ukraine and have already allocated $3 million from their savings, Entertainment Weekly reports.
The couple clarified that the money raised (and their goal is to raise $ 30 million) will go primarily to housing, food and medicine for those who were in distress during the Russian military operation in Ukraine.
“The people of Ukraine are strong and brave, but being strong and brave doesn’t mean you’re not worthy of support,” said Kunis, who herself was born in Ukraine but moved to the States in 1991.
Earlier, French actor Gerard Depardieu asked the conflicting parties to lay down their arms and start negotiations.
Meanwhile, the subject of negotiations between the two countries was named in the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. According to Kyiv, the negotiators are looking for solutions to evacuate Chernihiv residents and supply food and essentials.
