In Ecuador, the Holiday Law has been in force since 2016, which determines the mandatory rest days for all Ecuadorians, so there are eleven days of rest annually, which correspond to national holidays and one more of the civic holidays local, that is, twelve each year.

In addition, by joining these eleven days with weekends (non-working days), the year 2021 will have 29 days off, nationwide.

The longest rest day that he will have this year will be in November, since through Decree 222, the national government ordered the suspension of the working day at the national level for the 3rd of that month.

That day is added to the other two days of the November holiday, provided by the Holiday Law. Ecuador commemorates the Day of the Dead on November 2, which moves to Monday, November 1, and the independence of Cuenca on November 3, which moves to Tuesday, November 2.
