An action against the special operation in Ukraine began in St. Petersburg. As the correspondent of “Rosbalt” reports, the event is held surrounded by OMON and the National Guard.
On Nevsky Prospekt near Gostiny Dvor and on the adjacent streets, more than twenty vehicles and a bus for detainees were spotted.

“I am against the war (Russia has not officially declared war on Ukraine, the media, at the request of Roskomnadzor, are obliged to call the actions of the Russian armed forces a “special operation” – ed.), I am against any violence. I came here to express my position. Violence is not an option,” said Pavel Yakovlev, one of the participants in the event.
At least 120 people came to the beginning of the action. At least twenty were detained, including a girl who, according to her, is 13 years old. Citizens barely have time to unfold protest posters.
A police officer warns those present through a loudspeaker about the illegality of mass events.
“Physical force and special means can be used against you,” the security official repeats.
Let us add that the actions against the participation of the armed forces of the Russian Federation in Ukraine are taking place in St. Petersburg for the eighth day.
