None of the NATO members aspires to a military conflict with Russia. This was stated by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, reports TASS.

“For any NATO member, actively participating in a military confrontation with Russia is a giant step that is not considered by any of the member states,” Johnson said. According to him, in order to get consent to this, you must first get the consent of the parliament or the people of the country as a whole.

At the same time, the British prime minister stressed that the country would provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, supply it with weapons and impose economic sanctions against Moscow.

Recall, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in the Donbass. In his speech, he stated that “circumstances require decisive action from Russia” and stressed that “Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.”

In response to Russia’s actions, Western countries (USA, Canada, European Union, Great Britain, Japan) announced new, tougher sanctions against the Russian Federation, including financial and economic ones.
