The Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg LLC “Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus” (St. Petersburg) has suspended production from March 1 to 5. It is reported by Interfax.
“The plant will temporarily suspend production due to a shortage of components due to ongoing global logistical disruptions in the supply of auto components,” said an employee of the Russian representative office of Hyundai.
They are going to resume production on March 9th.
The Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg is the second largest automobile plant in Russia in terms of production.
Recall, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in the Donbass. In his speech, he stated that “circumstances require decisive action from Russia” and stressed that “Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.”
