The Foreign Ministers of the G7 countries and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba held an online meeting, during which they agreed that any changes in the position of Ukraine that could be achieved through the military operation of the Russian Federation would not be recognized, the G7 said in a statement following the talks.
In addition, the diplomats of the G7 countries promised to take further steps against the Russian Federation if the military operation in Ukraine continues, and also discussed strengthening assistance to Ukraine, including in the field of cybersecurity and the fight against disinformation.
Earlier it was reported that on Monday, February 28, an emergency special session of the UN General Assembly on Ukraine could be held.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in the Donbass. In his speech, he stated that “circumstances require decisive action from Russia” and stressed that “Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.”
