Mothers of conscript soldiers from Novosibirsk are alarmed by rumors about their sons being sent to Ukraine. This was reported by the Novosibirsk website of the NGS, adding that the women’s fears were dispelled by the Committee of Soldiers’ Mothers.
“My son writes in short messages:“ They listen to us, they read us – it’s impossible, I signed a secret, I can’t say anything extra. Since December, the machine held once on the oath. That is, a person simply does not even know how to use weapons,” says Olga, whose son serves in the Leningrad Region.
“Where is my child so indebted to the state that such a debt may have to be repaid? Christina is indignant, whose son had to leave school. – So far, apparently, the data from the educational institution have not yet been received. The son understands that the army is ahead and if he is not getting an education now, then he needs the army to get a job.
“You need to defend your point of view, involve the public,” says Oksana. – Definitely get together and discuss everything together, express your dissatisfaction with the authorities. I just don’t know anymore, but something needs to be done.”
Women’s fears were dispelled by Andrei Kurochkin, deputy head of the Committee of Soldiers’ Mothers. “Firstly, conscripts are not sent to war, and even more so recruits are not sent. And secondly, they have no right to do so,” he replied. Nevertheless, he acknowledged that the Committee receives “many appeals where conscripts are pressured to be transferred to contract service.”
