Russia restricts the flights of the airlines of Bulgaria, Poland and the Czech Republic in connection with the decisions of the aviation authorities of these countries.
According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, from 15:00 Moscow time on February 26, air carriers of these states or airlines registered in them are subject to restrictions on flights to points on the territory of the Russian Federation, including transit flights through the airspace of the Russian Federation.
Flights from Bulgaria, Poland or the Czech Republic can only be performed with a special permit issued by the Federal Air Transport Agency or the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Previously, these countries, as well as Latvia and Estonia, closed their airspace to Russian airlines. Russia has banned the arrival or transit of aircraft linked to the UK.
On Saturday, the plane of the special flight squad “Russia”, on which the official delegation of the State Duma, headed by Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin, was returning from Cuba, did not receive permission to fly over Sweden and Finland.
