The total wage arrears in Russia as of February 1, 2022 reached 915 million rubles, showing an increase of 16.4% compared to the data as of January 1 of this year, follows from the materials of the Federal State Statistics Service.
As clarified by Rosstat, the data are presented by organizations of observed types of economic activity (not related to small businesses).
The agency indicates that less than 1% of the employees of the surveyed organizations had wage arrears as of the reporting date.
Of the total amount of unpaid wages as of February 1, debts formed in 2022 account for 59.9 million rubles. (6.6%), last year – 272 million rubles. (29.7%), in 2020 and earlier – 583.1 million rubles. (63.7%).
