London will seek to destroy the Russian economy because of the start of its military operation in Ukraine, British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said.
“We will not rest until the Russian economy is destroyed, and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine are restored,” RBC quotes her statement. At the same time, according to Truss, London will continue to support Kiev in economic, political and defensive terms.
Truss called Russia “a pariah on the world stage” and promised that “today’s unprecedented package of sanctions will bring the highest economic cost to the Kremlin.”

Early Thursday morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in the Donbass.
