TASS: Sounds of explosions are heard in different districts of Kiev on Friday morning

The sounds of several explosions were heard on Friday morning in the Ukrainian capital Kiev, TASS reports citing the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN.

According to the agency, explosions were heard in different districts of Kiev at 04:22 (05:22 Moscow time). In particular, explosions are reported in the Pechersky and Goloseevsky districts of the Ukrainian capital, as well as in Poznyaki. Six explosions are reported in the Troyeshchyna area.

Recall that Kiev is under martial law, there is a curfew in it, and the metro is open around the clock as a shelter in case of air alert. The day before, an air raid alert had already been announced in Kiev, residents were asked to proceed to shelters.

Early Thursday morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in the Donbass. In his speech, he stated that “circumstances require decisive action from Russia,” adding that “Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.”
