An inmate shoots another and then makes several cuts on his body, in the Azogues prison

A new violent event was recorded inside a prison in Ecuador. This time it happened at the Azogues Social Rehabilitation Center.

According to the preliminary police report, one of the inmates, identified as Víctor Manuel MM, entered the second floor where pavilion D was and at the door he shot another inmate, named Jhon Neptalí DB.

After shooting him, the perpetrator made several cuts with a sharp weapon. The wounds were deep, he indicated to himself.

Some of the cuts were in the neck area and on the left side of the victim’s head.

Seeing that, the rest of the inmates who were in that pavilion rushed out to the outer area of ​​the pavilions, fearing that a revolt would occur like the ones that have originated in prisons such as those of Guayaquil, Esmeraldas and Turi (Cuenca). .

After that, the perpetrator went out to the main door and surrendered voluntarily, according to the uniformed men. There he delivered the pistol-type weapon, black, serial T0620-10J01049.

The accused inmate was taken to the hospital for the corresponding medical assessment and then to the hearing to formulate charges for this new crime.

The event occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday the 22nd, at about 4:00 p.m.

In addition to the Police, the prosecutor on duty also arrived at the site to remove the body, which was taken to the morgue. (I)
