Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called an urgent meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC). This decision is connected with statements made at a meeting of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Zelensky said in his Twitter.

Earlier, Zelensky held urgent consultations with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The content of these negotiations has not yet been disclosed.
On Monday, the heads of the unrecognized republics of the DPR and LPR, Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik, appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to recognize their independence. The Security Council voted in favor, but the head of state has not yet made a final decision.
