The Leningrad region is ready to accept refugees from the LPR and the DPR. It is expected that the first group of 400 people will arrive in the region from the Rostov region tomorrow, February 22.
As specified in the press service of the administration of the 47th region, they are ready to receive the health camp “Rosson” (Kingiseppsky district). They promise to organize studies for the children who have arrived, and the best way to do this is currently being discussed.
A source in the regional government confirmed to Rosbalt that they were going to organize groups for preschoolers directly on the territory of the camp, and to identify older children in nearby schools so that they would not have to additionally resolve the issue with the involvement of subject teachers.
The second location for refugees will be another regional recreation camp – “Mayak” (Gatchinsky district).
Earlier, the press service of the regional government confirmed its readiness to accept about 1,500 refugees from Donbass in two stages. In addition, a collection of humanitarian aid has been organized in the region since February 20.
