Refugees from the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), who have been evacuated from the territory of the DPR since yesterday evening by decision of the authorities, complain that they do not know what to do next: they have run out of places in temporary accommodation centers, they have no food, toilets and the opportunity to return home. This was reported by a Znak.com correspondent from the Ukrainian-Russian border in the Rostov region.
According to him, about 30 buses with 1,000 refugees were brought to the village of Krasny Desant, where there are many children’s camps and sanatoriums, where it was planned to accommodate visitors from the DPR and LPR. A traffic jam of about 20 km formed on the border with the Rostov region.
Among the refugees, there are a lot of mothers with babies who were not provided with food, toilet facilities or warm rooms.
Representatives of the local administration say that there are no more places in sanatoriums and children’s camps in the Red Landing Forces. The issue of transporting those arriving from the DPR to Rostov is being resolved, however, there is a quota for settling 400 people.
Earlier, the DPR authorities stated that about 10 thousand people crossed the border with the Rostov region. The authorities of the Rostov region assured that everything was ready to receive refugees, but nevertheless declared a state of emergency.
Meanwhile, the evacuation announced the day before in the DPR and LPR continues. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DPR stated that they plan to evacuate 700 thousand people.
The authorities of the self-proclaimed republics claim that Kiev is allegedly planning an attack, but in Ukraine they emphasize that this is not the case. In Washington, they say that the attack, on the contrary, is planned by Moscow. The Kremlin denies this.
