Washington has agreed to sell 250 Abrams tanks in the M1A2 SEPv3 version to Warsaw, Polish Minister of National Defense Mariusz Blaszczak announced on Twitter.

“Very important news for the security of Poland. The State Department (USA) has agreed to the sale of 250 Abrams tanks in the latest M1A2 SEPv3 version,” the Polish minister said.

At the same time, he called the purchase one of the most significant military contracts in Polish history, RIA Novosti reports.

Recall also, earlier it became known that Ukraine received from Britain anti-tank missiles with a range of about 4 kilometers. As British Ambassador to the Russian Federation Deborah Bronnert explained in this regard, these are defensive weapons that are supplied to Kiev “entirely within the law.”

London, she said, does not want a conflict between Russia and Ukraine and believes that Moscow should “defuse the situation.”
