Flu and other seasonal infections can be more severe than usual if a person has had a coronavirus before, said immunologist Nikolai Kryuchkov.
According to him, under normal conditions, a Russian, on average, manages to get ARVI two or three times from autumn to spring. However, if the flu or other infection enters the body, weakened by the coronavirus, it can lead to serious consequences.
At the same time, Kryuchkov emphasized, if the covid was transferred in a mild form, then most likely there will be no complications. However, if a patient has a post-covid syndrome, then the flu that has superimposed on him can “seriously destabilize the state of the body.”
The immunologist recommended that those who have had coronavirus in any case avoid the risks associated with infection with any other viruses, but emphasized that special care should be taken for those who have signs of post-covid syndrome, RIA Novosti reports.
