The people wanted by the Justice of a specific country generally move to another nation to avoid the responsibility of being judged for the crimes they commit.
Fourteen people from Ecuador have a red notice from Interpol and among all nationalities there are 69,270 wanted by the International Criminal Police Organization
The International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol, for its acronym in English) is responsible for publishing the lists of the most wanted worldwide.
The entity coordinates with the Police of 195 countries, including Ecuador, to manage the capture of these people who have a red notice. This is a request to law enforcement agencies around the world to locate and provisionally detain a person pending extradition, surrender or similar legal action, it is stated on the Interpol website.
Red Notices are issued on fugitives wanted for prosecution or to serve time. Each Interpol member country can request the inclusion of a person with this condition.
Missing persons may also travel abroad voluntarily or involuntarily, as in the case of parental abduction of a minor. In these cases, a missing persons yellow notice may be posted.
“These notifications are global alerts that are sent to all member countries,” says Interpol.
Citizens can help locate and capture some of the people who have red notices worldwide, since the capture of most of these people is the exclusive responsibility of the police forces of the countries.
“Some Red Notices may be publicly disclosed” and can be found on the Interpol website. “Most red notices are for police use only and therefore cannot be viewed.”
If you have information about anyone you see in a red or yellow notice on this website, you should:
one.- Contact the local police in your country, who will then contact Interpol. In the case of Ecuador, call 1800-335486 (CRIMINAL).
two.- Contact Interpol directly using the link in each notice.
There are fugitives wanted for crimes against the environment, such as illegal trafficking of protected species or illegal logging.
Interpol has also published the profile of seven people wanted for these environmental crimes so that citizens can help with data for their capture.
“Behind these crimes are complex organized criminal networks, well financed, and often linked to other violent and serious crimes,” indicates the international police agency.
There are seven people subject to Interpol red notices in this regard:
one.- Guo Qin HUANG, 42, wanted by China for smuggling protected species and their products.
two.- Nicholas Mweri JEFWA, 44, wanted by Kenya for illegal trade in wildlife-related trophies and organized crime.
3.- Samuel Bakari JEFWA, 29, wanted by Kenya for illegal trade in wildlife-related trophies and organized crime.
4.- Ergest MEMO, 34 years old, wanted by Greece for illegal logging in a protected forest.
5.- Taulant MEMO, 33, wanted by Greece for illegal logging in a protected forest and illegal possession of weapons.
