An immunologist, a specialist in especially dangerous infections, Vladislav Zhemchugov, assessed the situation with a decrease in the incidence of coronavirus in Moscow.
In his opinion, the capital reached a plateau due to covid. At the same time, the expert noted that “in fact, there is not enough complete information to correctly interpret these results.”
Zhemchugov told RIA Novosti that the epidemic situation “will inevitably improve” and “the number of infected people will come to naught.” According to him, in the end, everyone “will get acquainted in one form or another with the virus, including in the form of a vaccine.” The immunologist also urged to take into account that people are re-infected with covid, “therefore, there will be some slippage in time, now this is why there is a plateau.”
Earlier, doctor Zhemchugov said that there are actually much more Russians infected with coronavirus than the operational headquarters indicates.
Recall that in Moscow, as of February 15, 8160 new cases of covid were confirmed, and a day earlier – 1456 less.
