The United States does not intend to send its forces to Ukraine if hostilities begin in that country. The corresponding statement was made the day before by President Joe Biden, commenting on a possible invasion of the Russian military into Ukrainian territory.

“I will not send the US military to Ukraine, but we have provided the Ukrainian army with defensive weapons,” he said.

At the same time, the head of the White House stressed that if the Russian Federation attacks the Americans in Ukraine, Washington will give a “tough and decisive response” to this. He also promised that the United States “will do its best to protect every centimeter of NATO territory.”

At the same time, the American leader advocated a diplomatic solution to the conflict over Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that Biden urged the Russians not to be afraid of the United States, NATO and Ukraine.

“I appeal to the citizens of Russia: you are not our enemies. And I don’t believe that anyone wants a bloody and destructive war against Ukraine, a country with which you have such close ties, a common history and culture,” Biden said in his speech on the situation in Ukraine.

He also denied reports that Washington and NATO countries plan to deploy missiles on Ukrainian territory.

Earlier, Bloomberg announced the date of the “invasion” of the Russian Federation into Ukraine – February 15. Meanwhile, the Politico newspaper reported that Biden said that Russia could allegedly attack Ukraine on February 16.
