A new hit-man-style murder was recorded on the afternoon of this Monday the 14th in the canton of El Triunfo, in Guayas.
It happened in the heart of this town, according to its inhabitants.
Armed subjects shot directly at the driver of a truck, before 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
After the men fled, residents approached the vehicle to try to help the victim.
There they immediately identified him: “it is the former mayor”, “it is Andrés Macías Castillo”, “yes, it is the former mayor”, “the former mayor was shot four times in the middle of the center”, commented citizens, who also recorded videos of what happened and They started to go viral.
Uniformed arrived at the scene of the event, on av. 8 de Abril and Assad Bucaram, a few meters from the municipal palace.
Police have not yet confirmed the identity of the victim. Media from that town also began to report the murder of Macías.
On two previous occasions, Macías denounced attacks against him. The first time was in 2014 during the campaign for Mayor of El Triunfo.
