The United States offers university scholarships for Ecuadorians with excellent academic performance and low-income

The call for Ecuadorian students to apply for the program is currently open Opportunity Funds 2023 which is promoted by the Government of the United States in Ecuador.

This program seeks Ecuadorian students with excellent academic performance, limited financial resources, advanced English and leadership skills to benefit from full scholarships to study in the US. They can apply until February 18, 2022. For more information, those interested should contact ecuador@educationusa.org.

Information on this and other scholarship programs will also be offered on the new Education USA consulting center in Guayaquil, whose facilities were inaugurated today, February 14 by the United States ambassador to Ecuador, Michael Fitzpatrick, and the rector of the Santiago de Guayaquil Catholic University (UCSG), Walter Mera. This office is located in the UCSG Graduate Building.

The goal is for Ecuadorian students to have a place where they can access information on how to apply to universities in the United States and accompany them in that process.

Education USA’s advising services are free to all interested individuals seeking professional development opportunities at the world’s best universities located in the United States.

With the opening of this office at UCSG, EducationUSA has a total of five advising centers in Ecuador: one in Quito, one in Cuenca, one in Ambato and two in Guayaquil.

Education USA is a network of the US Department of State that has more than 430 international student advising centers in more than 175 countries. The network promotes higher education in the United States and provides accurate, complete, and up-to-date information on study opportunities at accredited institutions in the United States. (I)
