Attackers from fake phone numbers spread lies about the alleged “death” of LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky. This, according to RIA Novosti, said the first deputy head of the central office of the Liberal Democratic Party, State Duma deputy Sergei Karginov.
“There were provocations, nightly phone calls about the death of Vladimir Volfovich, they went all over the country. We explained the situation – that this is a lie and unfounded, ”he said.
According to the deputy, the calls were from fake numbers.
Zhirinovsky was hospitalized with coronavirus on February 2. His condition was said to be stable.
Kommersant, citing an unnamed source close to the Russian Ministry of Health, reported that Zhirinovsky hid for two weeks that he had contracted the coronavirus. Prior to this, Zhirinovsky said he had received his eighth coronavirus vaccination since September 2020.
