The governor of the Ulyanovsk region, Sergei Morozov, responded to fake reports circulating in social networks about the explosion of a nuclear reactor. As the politician wrote on Instagram, these attempts to cash in on human fears could have serious consequences for their distributors.
The head of the region said that he demanded that the police find and punish the authors of reports about the explosion of the reactor at the site of the Scientific Research Institute of Atomic Reactors in Dimitrovgrad, since their actions fall under the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Morozov assured his subscribers that if there was at least some threat to the life and health of people, the authorities would make every effort to notify the population of the region and save everyone. According to him, there is no danger, as well as no emergency situation.
