Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko instructed the senators, together with the Ministry of Health, to work out the issue of including psychiatric rehabilitation in the compulsory medical insurance policy for those who have recovered from the coronavirus. It is reported by TASS.
“We must remember this and understand that psychiatric rehabilitation should be included (in the compulsory medical insurance policy), like other types of post-COVID rehabilitation. I support the proposal to instruct the committee on social policy, together with the Ministry of Health, to consider the inclusion of such assistance in compulsory medical insurance, ”she said.
According to Igor Nikitin, director of the National Medical Research Center “Treatment and Rehabilitation Center” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the main signs of post-COVID syndrome are increased fatigue, sweating and impaired attention.
According to the latest data, 203,949 people were diagnosed with coronavirus in Russia per day (197,076 a day earlier). The total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 13 million 731 thousand 794 cases.
112,236 people recovered in a day (106,092 a day earlier), 11,021,633 since the beginning of the pandemic.
