From Monday, February 14, Moscow will begin to increase the volume of planned medical care in city clinics. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in a blog on his website.

According to him, this is due to the fact that the peak of the incidence of the Omicron strain will pass in the capital. The mayor noted that the number of hospitalizations is decreasing in the city. The mayor explained that yesterday’s increase in the number of new cases of covid “was due to a change in accounting methods.” Recall that 22,747 cases of infection were confirmed the day before, and 11,226 cases a day earlier.

“Nevertheless, the absolute incidence rates are still very high,” Sobyanin wrote, adding that the capital’s health care system is coping with the load: patients are admitted to polyclinics almost without queues.

An improvement in the situation with coronavirus will allow doctors to visit Muscovites over 65 at home, regardless of the severity of the course of covid, the mayor said.
