A resident of Alma-Ata, only four and a half months after giving birth, was able to prove that her recently born daughter is not a boy. It is reported by Astana.tv.
The reason was the confusion in the documents drawn up in one of the city maternity hospitals. Baby Azhar was born in September last year, but the doctors indicated “boy” in the column “gender of the child” on the birth certificate. According to the girl’s mother, Makpal Nurlan, she and her husband went through all the authorities, but no one could help them.
It was possible to restore justice only with the support of the Nur Otan party. Makpal claims that thanks to her, they received a corrected birth certificate in ten days.
According to Sputnik Kazakhstan, a similar incident occurred last spring. After a cesarean section, a woman was told that she had a son, but then she saw the child and realized that it was a girl. It turned out that the midwife entered incorrect data in the documents. After that, the husband of the woman in labor decided to do a DNA test to make sure that it was their baby at all.
